Keratin Hair Extensions
Keratin Bond Extensions are good for short hair styles as you can bond them high up and extremely close to the root. They are great for clients who wear a variety of styles including updo’s based on the placement of individual strands. Luxx’s Keratin Bonds can be cut in half to create mini bonds for a more discreet installation. Salon maintenance periods between appointments is usually longer than the other methods and can be spread as wide as 3 months apart while the other methods are usually 4 to 8 weeks.

Keratin extensions are made from very thin strands of hair bonded together. The strand of extension is added to a small section of the client’s own hair and fused together using a hot fusion tool. The tool heats up the keratin protein adhesive and bonds the extension to your natural hair.
Salon maintenance requires the Keratin Bonds to be professionally removed using a debonding agent and correct tools. The hair bond is then cut and re-bonded using Keratin Glue granules and can be re-installed post a clarifying shampoo. Maintenance is suggested anywhere from 2 to 3 months and is 100% dependent on the client’s natural hair growth and how well they follow the aftercare protocols. Regular maintenance is critical to maintain the quality of the hair extensions as well as integrity of natural hair. Outside of salon maintenance, aftercare is important, Luxx supply full aftercare instructions with all hair sold.
