Sourcing the correct hair and manufacturing Hair Extensions is an incredibility intricate process. As a starting point, the hair quality of the source is critical. First and foremost, it has to be long enough and healthy enough to create the various lengths and to withstand the technical process it will go through. The hair we supply is 100% ethically sourced from young Asian girls where hair is still at its rawest and most purist form. Once sourced, the hair then goes through a number of stages before it is transformed into extensions for the consumer market. Due to the delicate nature of this hair, machines are not suitable for the entire process and allot of it is done by hand, specifically to meet our Double Drawn standards. The hair goes through various processing stations with multiple tests to check the elasticity and to confirm that the hair cuticle layer is still perfectly intact. Later the hair goes through depigmentation using a patented osmosis process to remove the hair’s original colour without the use of damaging bleach and ammonia derivative. Once this is done, there is a manual process to ensure that the hair quality has not been compromised and impacted during the chemical processing part. The appropriate colour dyes are then applied gently over a period to ensure equal absorption and less fade. Post this, the hair is then sorted and manufactured in to the various lengths and methods, packaged and labelled correctly and flown to South Africa.
